Melonie A. Truslow , Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C) is the CEO and founder of Shoreline Counseling Services.  Melonie began her social work education at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2006.  At UMBC, she received the Social Work Student Association Excellence Award.  She was president of the Student Social Work Association from 2006-2007.  She received the exemplary service award to the college and community in 2007.  She was inducted into the Delta Omerion Chapter of the Phi Alpha Honor Society on December 7, 2006.  She graduated with honors with her Bachelors Degree in Social Work/ minor in Law in May 2007.  She was then accepted to the advanced standing program at the University of Maryland, School of Social Work .  She was inducted into the Sigma Alpha Lambda Leadership and Honors Organization on July 13, 2007.  She graduated with her Masters Degree in Social Work with a clinical focus on children and families on July 7, 2008.  Melonie obtained her social work licensure on May 11, 2011.  She began her career at the Queen Annes County Department of Social Services.  She was an In- Home Services, Family Preservation Social Worker.  Her employment through the agency set the groundwork for her passion and determination to help children and families.  While at the Department of Social Services, she was given the tools and the techniques to ensure that children in the home were safe and families were functioning at the highest level possible.  Melonie then transitioned to the Anne Arundel County Department of Social Services as a Child Protective Services Social Worker.

elonie spent over five years working along side nationally known medical professionals at Sheppard Pratt Health Systems ,  conducting forensic and psychosocial evaluations ,  safety / risk planning , family consults and discharge recommendations for significantly at risk clients.   She attributes her experience at Sheppard Pratt to her clinical knowledge of significant mental health disorders, and how best to treat them.   Melonie is client centered and meets her clients where they are.  

​Melonie has extensive training and specialized skills for counseling oppositional teenagers, and victims of traumatic events.   She has extensive knowledge working with victims of child abuse, sexual abuse, and child neglect.  She finished her certification through the University of Maryland with a specialty in Trauma in 2014.  She holds the title of a trauma certified specialist/ expert.   Melonie uses active listening, engagement strategies, positive reinforcement, role modeling , and many other strategies in order to best address the needs of her clients.  She is certified and trained as a DBT specialist.

Sarah Bolling is a board certified , Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C. ) She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2010, and her Master’s degree from the University of Maryland, School of Social Work in 2013.  She specialized in Mental Health with a sub-specialty in Employee Assistance.  Sarah has worked in several settings, serving various populations, throughout the Baltimore area, including working with military members and their families.  The last several years, Sarah has provided therapeutic services to children, adolescents and families.  She is trained and experienced in using a variety of treatment techniques including, but not limited to, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy and Solution-focused therapy.   Sarah has worked with individuals and families who have encountered crises and trauma(s), as well as those dealing with depression, anxiety, and various behavioral and mental health issues.
Sarah uses a client-centered approach throughout the therapeutic process, and works alongside the client to develop treatment goals.  She understands that making changes can be difficult; however, they are often times essential for optimal functioning.

Rachel Mach is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who earned her Master's degree from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 2002, with a clinical focus on families and children.  She began her career in Child Protective Services with the Howard County Department of Social Services.  She later worked in Salisbury MD with the Wicomico County Department of Social Services specializing in foster care. Both positions enhanced her skills in assessing children’s safety and working with families to achieve reunification and stabilization. Rachel then transitioned to working with families and children at the Wicomico County Health Department where she gained experience dealing with individuals, couples, and families helping them to cope with struggles, communication issues, anxiety, depression and other life challenges.
Rachel employs a variety of treatment modalities to include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and Functional Family Therapy (FFT).  She uses a client-centered approach which is individualized for each client.  She finds her passion in helping her clients achieve their goals.
In 2016, Rachel earned a certificate for completing the basic mediation training program sponsored by the Maryland State Bar Association.
Rachel lives in Shadyside, MD.  In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, camping, reading and relaxing with family and friends.

Natalie Miller  is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) She earned her Master’s Degree from Tulane University, School of Social Work where she specialized in International Social Work. Natalie has experience working with adolescents, children and families providing individual and group therapeutic as well as case management services. She has previously worked in a residential facility and worked with individuals who have experienced issues related to trauma, bereavement, substance abuse, homelessness, depression, anxiety, adjustment, behavior, and attachment. Natalie emphasizes a client-centered approach to promote resilience, optimism and balance for all clients. Natalie lives in Anne Arundel County. In her free-time she enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling.

Keisha Peterson is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in psychology from Stony Brook University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Hunter College in New York City. Keisha has over 14 years’ experience working with children, families, and community providers in a variety of areas. Keisha began her career as a Case Worker in New York City’s Foster Care Prevention Programs, and expanded to areas of Program Administration, leadership and oversight in the areas of Maternal and Child Health, Child Welfare, Education and Mental & behavioral Health working for Maryland Department of Human Services and The Department of Health. Keisha has experience working with children, adolescents and families providing counseling services in an array of matters including anxiety, depression, domestic violence, crisis intervention, homelessness, relationship and family conflict, sexual abuse, low-self-esteem, trauma and general life stressors.
Keisha utilizes a variety of techniques including the use a strengths-based and solution-focused approach to meet each client’s unique needs to help clients reach optimal wellness.  Keisha is a native of New York and now resides in Ann Arundel County. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and listening to music.

Mary Sullivan is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). She earned her Bachelors Degree in Social Work at Franciscan University, and her Masters in Social Work from University of Maryland Baltimore. Mary has experience working with individuals and families doing crisis intervention and case management in hospital settings. Mary is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, grief and bereavement, and motivational interviewing. She uses a client focused, strengths-based approach.  In her free time, Mary enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and traveling.

Ellen Anderson is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) who earned her degree from Boston College in 2003.  She has worked in hospitals in Boston, MA and Austin, TX and here in MD focusing on pediatric and family centered care.  She has also worked in foster care and with children on the autism spectrum.  In addition to her work here, Ellen volunteers with hospice. She works with children, adolescence, and adults from a variety of backgrounds with a client centered focus using several types of therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Empowerment.  She helps her clients work through abuse, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and trauma from a strength-based perspective in which the client and therapist work as a team to find tools that will work for the individual. Ellen pulls from both clinical practice and life experience to offer her clients a well-rounded perspective in their therapeutic journey.
